Lipo 360 refers to the area where the procedure is carried out i.e your entire torso area (front, sides, and back). High definition liposuction refers to a technique used in liposuction that not only removes fat but also accentuates certain areas (abs and obliques).

There are a lot more people who qualify for Lipo 360, whereas surgeons are more selective with HD lipo. For HD lipo to work, patients must have a low BMI (less than 24). Surgeons also consider the patient’s skin. Patients with poor quality skin, stretch marks, skin laxity and poor skin elasticity (skin doesn’t bounce back well) are not good candidates for HD Lipo.

"If you are considering a tummy tuck, you should know that there are two types of abdominoplasty: full and mini. Here are some ways these procedures differ:

The mini is less invasive, requiring only a small incision beneath the belly button to remove excess skin from below and tighten up the abdominal muscles. A full tummy tuck is more invasive since it involves the middle and lower abdomen, it may also involve liposuction, and more skin and fat are removed.

The length of the incision made: A full tummy tuck requires a long incision - usually running along the bikini line from hip to hip. The mini tummy tuck, however, requires only one small incision below the p***c area to remove the excess fat.

The amount of recovery time needed: Full abdominoplasty is known for taking a long time to heal; total recovery occurs after two months. Patients who have a mini tummy tuck, on the other hand, are usually back to work within just one week. Complete recovery from a mini tummy tuck usually happens within three to four weeks.

After plastic surgery, you will need to take care of the incision as it heals. Doing so may limit scarring, help you avoid pain or discomfort, and help lower the risk of getting an infection. Please follow these guidelines to take proper care of your incisions.

1. After your procedure, do not get any incision sites wet for 24-48 hours. Ask your doctor how long you need to keep the area dry. Follow your doctor's instructions.

2. Skin incisions heal best when kept clean without scabs, and covered with a petroleum-based ointment.

3. The incision should be treated at least three times a day.

4. Don't expose your incision to direct sun for 3 to 9 months after surgery. As an incision heals, the new skin that is formed over the cut is very sensitive to sunlight and will burn more easily than normal skin.
