Sometimes the most reassuring conversations in business are the ones that remind you you’re not alone in how you see the world.

Appreciated the conversation with / Corey Shapiro while in NYC.

Hearing how he built a global culture around vintage eyewear by trusting his own vision was a reminder that the optical world grows because people are willing to think differently.

A reminder to slow down - it’s not just your life on the line

On my way to a meeting today, it was raining and visibility wasn’t great. A car came speeding up behind me and nearly hit me while merging onto the highway. To avoid crashing into me, the driver swerved, hit the rail, and lost control. His car bounced across the lanes right in front of me

By pure luck, I stopped just inches away in time. My heart was racing, but my first thought was hoping he was okay.

Moments like that remind us how fragile life is. Please drive carefully, especially when it’s raining. It’s not just about your own safety, it’s about everyone else sharing the road with you
