Don’t shy away from extension, lean into it.

As someone with hypermobility, and if I were ever to get a fracture, I would want to get full end-range motion in order to get rid of all my hand pain. Yes, extension is hard to get and keep, but it’s the foundation everything else is built on.

Once you get extension, it’s a lot easier getting them into flexion.

Stop fighting pain where it's loudest. Start calming it where it begins.

When a patient has wrist or finger tightness, constantly working the sore spot can just irritate it more, especially if they're hypersensitive. Instead, you should work more proximally and look at where the finger and wrist flexors originate.

How long does it take for a bone to heal, and what can you do in those time frames?
