Tonight was pure magic. Guided by Aniko and featuring the intuitive artistry of Ekaterina Ambramova, we gathered to honor the close of a year of deep transformation and to step intentionally into 2026 — a year of harvest, grounding, and forward motion. 🌱

As the Capricorn new moon invited us to plant long-rooted seeds, we paused in reverence and love to honor Flor Tilden Suarez — a cherished supporter of Luminous Energy Exchange who passed over the Christmas holiday. Her presence, generosity, and spirit remain woven into this community. Her memory lives on in our hearts, always. 🤍🕯️

Grateful for the beauty, the stillness, the reflection, and the shared breath that filled the room tonight. This is why we gather. This is how we move forward.

Last night was pure grace in motion ✨🎶

We were blessed to have live music and song permeate the walls of Luminous Energy Exchange, as Noah Proudfoot and Brielle Àguila, along with Katie on percussion, offered their hearts through sound.
It was an evening that felt soulful, inspired, and deeply present—music not just heard, but felt.

Thank you to everyone who gathered, listened, breathed, and allowed the melodies to move through them. These are the nights that remind us why this space exists. 🌙💫

Today, we pause in gratitude for all who have served—and those still serving—to protect our freedoms.

On a personal note, our hearts are especially with Christina’s brother, currently overseas with the U.S. Army. We honor him, and all the brave men and women who stand for our country with courage, sacrifice, and love.

We’d like to share some important news with those who have had the pleasure of working with our Medical Massage Specialist, Shamaya Chah, L.M.T.

Shamaya will be relocating out of state on October 1st. While we are saddened to see her go, we are deeply grateful for the care, expertise, and relief she has brought to so many in our community.

Before her move, we’ve secured a few final appointment dates for anyone who would like to see her:
• Monday, 9/15
• Monday, 9/22
• Wednesday, 9/24

Her rates remain accessible and affordable:
• 30 minutes – $70
• 45 minutes – $95
• 60 minutes – $125

For those who have come to rely on her treatments, please know that we will be welcoming a qualified replacement to continue supporting your therapeutic needs.

💥 IT Band Discomfort? The Real Culprit May Surprise You 💥
This morning, a client came in with intense discomfort along the IT band—no knee pain, no lower back tension—just that nagging, unrelenting tightness down the outer thigh. And while many might blame the band itself, the truth lies deeper.

🌀 What’s Really Going On?

This is often a case of what’s known as “Hiker’s Hip”—a misalignment of the pelvis combined with tight hip flexors, quads, and hamstrings.
You don’t need to be a hiker to develop it—it affects anyone with:
• Sedentary habits
• Repetitive movement patterns
• Imbalanced muscle recruitment

🔗 The Chain Reaction:
1. Pelvic misalignment alters movement and posture
2. The TFL (tensor fasciae latae) overworks to stabilize, pulling on the IT band
3. Tight quads and hamstrings add tension to the system
4. Result? The IT band becomes the messenger of a bigger issue

So if you’re endlessly foam rolling your ITB without addressing the hips, quads, and hammies—you’re only chasing the symptom, not the source.

In this session, we focused on:
✔️ Releasing the quads and hamstrings
✔️ Softening the TFL and outer thigh fascia
✔️ Restoring pelvic balance
✔️ Allowing the IT band to relax instead of overcompensate
