RI Families in Nature We also have a trail guide, The Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide and Journal. Why? Learn more on our website, www.rifamiliesinnature.org

Rhode Island Families in Nature was created by and for families who want to spend more time outdoors, explore RI’s natural places, and reconnect with and reap the many benefits of nature. Research shows that unstructured play and interaction with the natural world are important for healthy development in children as well as the physical, mental, and emotional health of both children and adults. Time in nature provides opportunity for physical activity, critical and creative thinking, interaction with community members, and so much more.

Really looking forward to this event this Saturday, May 6! I am forever grateful to Kim, Sue, Bob, and all of the wonderful staff at Wakefield Books (my local bookstore!) for all of their help through the years - not just selling The Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide and Journal, but actually helping me figure out how to write the thing. 😄

From Pfizer: "The VALOR research study is evaluating if an investigational (study) vaccine is safe and effective for preventing Lyme disease in people who have been exposed through tick bites. Joining a clinical trial is an important and personal decision for you and your family. We hope it is one you will consider."
