FIND YOUR WHY đŸ’Ș🌊

One of my biggest reasons for training these days is right here in these pictures.
It’s the joy on my son’s face when I launch him as high as I can into the air
 and the fact that he always says, “Again, Dad! Again!”

If I didn’t work out, I probably wouldn’t be able to throw him half as high—or worse, I might injure myself trying.
I don’t ever want to tell my kid, “Sorry buddy, I can’t give you a piggyback ride
 my back hurts.”

I want to keep up with my kids for a long, long time—to have adventurous, physical fun with them for decades.
And it’s not just about what I can do with them, it’s about showing them what’s possible with these intergalactic meat suits we’ve been gifted. I want them to grow up seeing the value in taking care of their bodies, being strong, and staying curious about their physical potential.

I don’t normally use pre workout supplements. Most of them are just a bunch of fluff. The supplement industry is a humongous racket that makes a lot of money off of under dosed proprietary blends with hardcore names and cool pictures on the container. The truth is there are not a ton of proven effective ingredients out there that actually improve your performance during a workout. Majority of the time I stick with caffeine from coffee or an energy drink. But sometimes my life gets pretty busy and I sleep less, and I want an extra boost to get me going for a hard session. When these times come around I always reach for this stuff has only solid science backed ingredients and solid doses of each of them. And even better the label tells you exactly how much of each ingredient you’re taking! With this stuff I can feel a huge difference when it comes to feeling stronger longer with sustained energy throughout my workout, also there’s a nice bonus for my mental clarity with the Huprerzine A in there. I’ve even felt benefit from pr breaker when I have some long bouts of work on my computer I need to get through.

đŸ”„ Learning to Love Winter ❄

Winter has always been hard for me. The cold. The gray skies. The shorter days. It all feels so slow, lifeless, and heavy—especially after the energy and action of summer.

I’d find myself dreading the cold months, feeling like I didn’t do enough when the sun was shining. Summer would slip by, and I’d realize I wasn’t really present—I was too caught up in responsibilities, work, and my own thoughts to truly enjoy it.

But this year, I found something that’s changing my perspective: this hot tent and wood stove.

Camping has always been my escape, but winter camping was something I’d never really explored. When I set up the tent and sat by the stove for the first time, I felt a shift. The fire’s warmth, the quiet stillness of the night—it made me realize winter isn’t just an ending. It’s a season of reflection, a time to slow down and embrace stillness.

It’s also made me reflect on summer. Maybe winter feels so hard because I’m not living fully in the present when life is warm and vibrant. If I don’t soak up the sunshine, of course the cold feels unbearable.

This tent has me looking forward to snowy nights in the woods, but it’s also reminding me to live intentionally in every season. Life is short, and the seasons will keep changing whether we like it or not. Maybe the real work is finding peace—and maybe even joy—in all of them.

Heavy kettlebells can look intimidating, but trust me, they’re one of the most powerful tools you can use to build strength, power, and endurance. In this video, I’m doing alternating single-arm swings with an 80lb kettlebell—this movement challenges my grip, core, and posterior chain while building explosive power and resilience. I see so many people going way too light with kettlebells. At the gym where I work, the 10lb kettlebells are the dustiest ones on the rack—because we don’t usually let anyone use them! If you’re only using light weights, you’re missing out on the full potential of what kettlebell training can do for you. Why go heavier? ✔ Full-Body Strength – Heavy bells recruit more muscle fibers, making you stronger and more capable. ✔ Grip Strength Gains – A heavier weight forces your hands, forearms, and wrists to adapt, boosting your grip. ✔ Explosive Power – Movements like swings help develop powerful hips and total-body coordination. ✔ Serious Conditioning – Heavy swings crank up your heart rate, so you’re building strength and cardio at the same time. I named my business Ojas after the Sanskrit word for “vital energy” —the essence we build through balanced, mindful living.
Ojas supports our strength, immunity, and happiness, and it’s cultivated through nourishing food, mindful movement, rest, and play.
To me, true fitness goes far beyond a solid physique. It’s about balance in every part of life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There are many “fit sick” people-strong in body but drained, stressed, or struggling inside.
My goal is to help others progress toward balance. The foundation?
Breathe, Move, and Meditate. With consistent practice, these pillars lead us to a fuller, more content life. This is why I chose Ojas as my business name.
