Investment. I remember finding out I was pregnant and spending my time and energy making a baby registry, setting up the nursery and doing all of the things I assumed were important.
I never stopped to think, nor did anyone tell me, that I should be looking beyond the birth and investing time and energy setting up a plan for my postpartum journey.
Who would I contact if I had trouble breastfeeding? How would meals be prepped, my house cleaned and laundry done? Who would help me as my body healed and entered this journey into motherhood?
I didn’t spend much time thinking about my emotions and the exhaustion to come and so I wasn’t fully prepared for those things.
We spend our time and energy in places that we see value. I’m here to tell you that childbirth education, especially the postpartum period, is often overlooked and mothers will benefit from this crucial information.
I’d love to chat with you about the postpartum journey and help you prepare for the adventure ahead.
