This week, we’re celebrating Mel, Director of Nursing at Springs Village Care Center. 💙

Mel consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership and dedication, making her truly deserving of this recognition. Recently nominated as Director of Nursing of the Year, she embodies excellence, professionalism, and integrity—setting the standard for others in the healthcare community.

Her steady leadership shone during our recent complaint survey, where she guided the team with calm confidence and turned a stressful situation into an opportunity for growth and teamwork. Staff felt supported and proud thanks to her ability to lead with both strength and compassion under pressure.

Beyond her professional excellence, Mel shows genuine care for both residents and staff—often cooking lunch for her team and ensuring that residents’ comfort and dignity are always prioritized. Her blend of skill, heart, and servant leadership makes her a shining example of what a Director of Nursing should be.

🌟 Stellar Stars of the Week! 🌟

This week, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Troy, Maintenance Director at Lakewood Reserve Senior Living.

Troy is the perfect example of what it means to be a true team player. He consistently goes above and beyond his role to support every department and ensure our community thrives. From helping Sales by turning units quickly so we always have beautiful spaces ready to show, to spending countless hours assisting residents—even late into the night—Troy’s dedication never wavers.

Most recently, Troy volunteered his time at a marketing event, flipping pancakes with enthusiasm for our referral partners, 3rd-party providers, and fellow senior living professionals. His positive attitude, reliability, and servant leadership shine through in everything he does.

We’re incredibly blessed to have Troy on our team. His “can-do” mindset keeps operations running smoothly, removes roadblocks for sales, and fosters an environment where collaboration and progress flourish. Lakewood Reserve wouldn’t be the same without his energy, heart, and commitment to excellence. 💙
