💙 Thank You to our Community Partners! 💙

During these uncertain times, we’re reminded of how strong and caring our Milford community truly is. The Milford Health and Human Services Departments would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lenny Napoli of Napoli Motors for his generous donation, which will go directly toward supporting emergency and basic needs for our most vulnerable residents. We are grateful to all of our strong community partners.

Your kindness helps us live up to our city’s motto — “A Small City with a Big Heart.” 💛

🌟 National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week | October 19–24, 2025 🌟
Theme: “Bright Futures Begin Lead Free”

Did you know there is no safe level of lead exposure for children? Even small amounts can cause serious health issues—but the good news is, lead poisoning is 100% preventable.

This week, we join the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and communities across the state in raising awareness about lead poisoning prevention.

🩺 Get your child tested!
Children should be tested for lead between 9 and 35 months—talk to your child’s healthcare provider today.

🏠 Check your home.
If your home was built before 1978, it could contain lead-based paint or pipes. Learn how to identify and reduce lead hazards—visit LeadFreeCT.org
for resources and local help.

💙 Together, we can keep Milford’s children safe and healthy.
Let’s work toward a future where every child in our community grows up lead-free and full of potential.
