caught me at the end of our evening at the De Young — supplements in one hand, a butterfly pea flower latte in the other. She sent it to the family chat immediately. Honestly, a very accurate slice of my daily life. 😂

We had gone to see the Bouquet to Art show — florists translating paintings into flowers, sculptures into botanicals, whole gowns made of petals.

It was the kind of evening that reminds you why you live near a city: beauty you didn’t make, shared with someone you love, in a park that’s been there longer than either of you.

There’s real research on what an evening like this does for the brain. But you don’t need the research to feel it.

Thursday evening, and I wandered through the De Young’s Bouquet to Art show — florists interpreting paintings through flowers, whole gowns made of petals and leaves. Something about standing in front of a painting you’ve seen before and suddenly seeing it reborn as a bouquet makes you look twice. At both.

We ate on a bench in Golden Gate Park before going in. We lingered. We laughed.

And at the end, I had a butterfly pea flower latte — a brilliant blue, non-caffeinated, quietly medicinal little drink — while also, yes, taking my supplements. (Raquel documented this for the family chat. It was not a glamorous moment. It was a very me moment.)😂

Turns out museums are genuinely good for your brain — novelty, beauty, and social connection in one place. But honestly, I wasn’t thinking about that Thursday. I was just happy to be there with my daughter.

Out on the bluff —
winter grass glowing bright green,
the ocean stretching wide in the distance,
wind, waves, and space to breathe. 🌿🌊

This 2-Minute Yoga practice includes Warrior II and Half Moon —
poses that ask us to stand steady, open our hearts, and stay balanced even when the ground feels uncertain.

In longevity yoga class, I pair these poses with simple affirmations:
✨ I joyfully manifest the power of the universe.
✨ Strength and courage fill my body’s cells.

Posting this on Martin Luther King Jr. Day feels meaningful.
Not in a political way — but in a human one.

There are times when the world feels heavy, divided, or like it’s moving backward.
In moments like that, practices that help us embody strength, courage, and alignment matter more than ever.

Those who came before us showed what it looks like to stand grounded, face forward, and keep going — even when the path was hard.

We honor that not just with words, but with how we live, how we care for ourselves, and how we show up for one another.

May this be a reminder that strength can be calm,
courage can be quiet,
and hope can be practiced —
so we’re ready when it’s needed.

Christmas Day, our way. 🌿

A morning hike on the trail —
lush green grass, rain clouds rolling in,
2 Minute Yoga wherever there’s space to pause,
in between storms with Mount Tam quietly watching in the background.

And then…
that evening.

Three sets of hands,
the last bites of a shared charcuterie board,
conversation lingering longer than the food.

This is what a Live. Longer. Happier. life looks like to me:
✨ moving the body
✨ being outdoors
✨ sharing simple meals
✨ letting the day unfold without rushing
✨ connection in its many forms

Not perfect.
Not elaborate.
Just present.
