What an incredible night. 🎉

Our New Year’s Eve Potluck at the Boreal Theater was full of music, food, games, raffles, and community. Seeing so many people come together to support Pir2Peer Recovery Center and Breaking the Cycle was truly meaningful.

We were blown away by the generosity in the room—we brought in a great amount in donations and raffle support, and we’re still in the process of counting everything. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this event such a success.

Events like this remind us that recovery is strongest when it’s rooted in community.

LEADERSHIP INTROS

Haley Wormwood - Operations Director

Recovery isn’t about pretending everything is fine.
It’s about being honest enough to do better.

Pir2Peer is in a rebuilding season—one rooted in intention, reflection, and a clear commitment to growth. That means looking at what worked, what didn’t, and choosing a different path forward.

I lead alongside Chelsea in Pir2Peer because I believe in recovery spaces that are accountable, human, and grounded in lived experience—not chaos, not ego, not shortcuts.

We’re creating something that feels safe, structured, and real—a place where people can show up as they are and trust the leadership behind the scenes.

This isn’t about perfection.

It’s about progress, responsibility, and community.

LEADERSHIP INTRO

Chelsea Putnam - Executive Director

I don’t lead Pir2Peer from theory.

I lead it from lived experience.

Like many grassroots organizations, Pir2Peer has had seasons of growth, learning, and hard lessons. Recovery work is messy, and building something community-based doesn’t come without challenges.

My role as Executive Director is to make sure those lessons turn into structure, accountability, and long-term stability—without losing the heart of peer-led recovery.

Right now, that means clear leadership, strong boundaries, transparent systems, and doing the work the right way, even when it’s uncomfortable.
We’re not here to repeat the past.

We’re here to build something better.

Recovery deserves leadership that shows up, owns its responsibility, and moves forward with integrity.

— Chelsea Putnam
Executive Director, Pir2Peer

Pir2Peer has always been about people.
It started with a simple belief: recovery works best when it’s rooted in lived experience, honesty, and real community—not judgment, control, or checklists. Pir2Peer was created to be a place where people could show up exactly as they are and not be reduced to their past.
Like most grassroots movements that actually matter, our story hasn’t been neat or linear. We’ve learned the hard way, grown through challenges, and stayed standing when it would’ve been easier not to. Now, Pir2Peer is stepping into a new chapter—built with intention, structure, and a clear vision forward.
Today, Pir2Peer is peer-led and community-driven under the leadership of Chelsea Putnam and Haley Wormwood—grounded in real recovery, real accountability, and real standards. We’re actively working toward a fully reimagined recovery community center designed to feel bold, welcoming, and human.
Not clinical.
Not cookie-cutter.
No performative recovery.
Just real recovery, done differently.
This is Pir2Peer.
And this is only the beginning.
