✨ What consistency gave me ✨

I’m proud to share that I am now a Certified Health & Wellness Coach 🎓🌱

2024–2025 taught me the power of showing up—for my wellness goals and for myself—even on the challenging days. This journey transformed me both personally and professionally, and reinforced one key truth: small, consistent habits and mindful choices create powerful change.

The result? More clarity. More balance. More intention. And a deeper sense of purpose in how I show up—for myself and for others.

This milestone is proof that when you commit to yourself, growth becomes inevitable ✨

To celebrate, I’m opening a few FREE wellness coaching sessions in January 💚

🪔 Be the Rama Within — This Deepavali
Every Deepavali, we celebrate Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana the triumph of light over darkness, truth over ego, and peace over chaos.

But Ayurveda reminds us ..
Ravana isn’t just out there… he also lives within us.
Each of Ravana’s ten heads symbolizes inner enemies known in Ayurveda as the Ariṣaḍvarga — the six enemies of the mind:
Kāma (Desire) – “I want more, more, more…”
Krodha (Anger) – The fire that burns our peace.
Lobha (Greed) – The hunger that never ends.
Moha (Delusion) – The fog that hides our truth.
Mada (Pride) – The voice that says, “I am better.”
Mātsarya (Jealousy) – The pain when others shine.

These emotions quietly steal our clarity, joy, and balance  just as Ravana stole Sita, the symbol of Shanti (peace of mind).

Be the Rama.
When we awaken our Rama within the light of awareness we defeat these inner Ravanas.

Rama’s bow is our Buddhi (intellect),
His arrow is Viveka (wisdom),
and His aim is Dharma (inner harmony).

Every time we choose calm over anger, gratitude over envy, simplicity over greed, we win a small Deepavali inside our hearts.

True Deepavali is not just about lighting diyas outside but about lighting the lamp of awareness within.
“When Rama rises in your heart, Ravana disappears and your world fills with light.”

This Deepavali, don’t just burn crackers —> burn ego, anger, and greed.
Don’t just decorate your home —> decorate your mind with clarity and compassion.

Be the Rama. Conquer your Ravana. Illuminate your inner world.

Wishing you all a Conscious, Joyful, and Luminous Diwali! 🪔💛

🌿✨ Dhanvantari Jayanthi Blessings ✨🌿
On this sacred day, as lamps of Deepavali illuminate our homes, may the divine light of Lord Dhanvantari, the celestial healer, illuminate our hearts with health, harmony, and healing.
Ayurveda reminds us that true wellness is not merely the absence of disease—it is the radiant balance of body, mind, and spirit. 🌸
Let this Deepavali mark the beginning of your journey toward deeper awareness, mindful living, and inner vitality.
💛 May Dhanvantari’s grace flow through your life—bringing strength, serenity, and the glow of true wellbeing.

Timeless Resilience
Feeling deeply inspired after hearing Dr. S. Somnath (Former ISRO Chief) at GITPRO
His words reminded me that every great success story is written through setbacks, perseverance, and unshakable faith.
Just like the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita teaches — true strength lies not in avoiding challenges, but in rising above them with calm determination.

✨ Embracing Peace and Purpose: Reflections on Service and Inner Growth ✨

In the realm of holistic well-being, balance is often described as the harmony between body and mind, effort and surrender, self and service. I feel deeply fortunate to have been introduced to a service-oriented community by my husband. Over the past 14 years, this journey has profoundly deepened my understanding of that balance. It has shown me that the essence of service lies not in recognition or results, but in the intention to contribute without expectation. This perspective has shaped not only my professional path as an Ayurvedic doctor but also my growth as a human being.

My introduction to holistic practices began in childhood, when my father guided us through yoga and pranayama — sometimes by candlelight during long power cuts. Those early lessons planted the seeds of lifelong wellness. Although my practice was occasional for many years, since January 2025, yoga and pranayama have become a consistent part of my daily routine, bringing measurable physical, mental, and spiritual benefits.
This past summer, I expanded that foundation by incorporating meditation and deeper spiritual reflection. The shift has been transformative. Each breath, each moment of stillness, brings greater clarity and calm, reinforcing the importance of living with love, intention, and balance, qualities that are essential not only for personal well-being but also for effective leadership and meaningful service.

In my work, I often encounter individuals navigating complex
relationships or challenging environments. One of the most valuable insights I’ve gained and one I regularly share is that peace is cultivated within. It does not depend on external circumstances or on changing others, but rather on how we choose to respond. Practices like self-care, gratitude, and mindful awareness are powerful tools that help us navigate life with resilience, openness, and purpose.

As I continue this journey, my mission remains to support others in discovering their own path to inner harmony — and to contribute, in whatever way I can, to a more mindful, compassionate world. 🌿

🌕 Sharad Purnima – A Night of Healing Moonlight & Divine Kheer

Last night, under the gentle and soothing glow of the Sharad Purnima full moon, I prepared and placed kheer (sweet rice pudding) under the moonlight — an age-old tradition deeply rooted in Ayurveda and Sanatana wisdom.

Why is this night so sacred? Ayurveda calls the Sharad Purnima moonlight “Amrit Kalpa” – a time when Soma (cooling, nourishing lunar energy) is at its highest. When sattvic foods like milk and rice are exposed to this divine light, they become imbued with healing, rejuvenating, and cooling properties that nurture both body and mind.

Ayurvedic Benefits of Moonlight Kheer:
- Balances Pitta: Especially after the hot summer, it soothes
internal heat and reduces inflammation.
- Promotes Ojas: Deeply nourishes the body’s vital essence,
boosting immunity, strength, and radiant skin.
- Calms Mind & Improves Sleep: The moon’s soma energy relaxes the nervous system and promotes peaceful rest.

Enhances Digestion & Rejuvenation: Consuming it post moon-bathing gently rekindles Agni (digestive fire) and supports rejuvenation.

This year, I prepared the kheer with immense devotion, performing Pooja and chanting sacred mantras under the moonlight. Early morning, I consumed it on an empty stomach, infused with divine blessings, while chanting the Dhanvantari mantra — invoking healing, longevity, and inner balance. 🙏🌕

This is more than just a dish — it’s moonlight medicine, sacred nourishment that connects us to the cycles of nature and the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.

Did you try moonlight kheer this Sharad Purnima? I’d love to hear your experience and reflections below!

Akshata is also a certified Yoga teacher. She aims to bring a unique sense of empowerment to each of her classes. Through asanas, mindfulness and stress management techniques her goal is to have her students leave each class feeling energized and rejuvenated. She incorporates moral stories, games in her themed yoga classes to make kid’s to build interest in yoga.

She has been teaching yoga since 2010 after receiving "Yoga Instructor Certification and authorization to conduct a stress management session from SVYASA University Bangalore in May 2010, she has taught yoga at a hospital in India and at social circles in the Bay Area.
