"My parents are trying to decide if they should stay in their home or move to a retirement complex. They are asking for my advice, and I am at a loss to advise them on the best choice. My parents are in their 70s and in great health. I am not sure why we are having this conversation right now. It seems too early. To be reasonable and supportive, I would like to know what are the factors they should consider as it relates to switching to a retirement complex? And how do I wrap my head around this topic?"

One reader asked, and we answered in this week’s Caregiver Column. Click the link to read. https://horizonhomecareandhospice.org/blog/post/retirement-home

"I am the caregiver for my father who now needs round-the-clock supervision. Dad lives with us. My wife and I are doing our absolute best to work and care for him. It is very difficult for us to be with him every second and work at the same time. We do not have the luxury of not both working and still paying the bills, so one of us being the only wage earner is not an option. We always planned to keep him with us, but we are starting to wonder if we are offering him the best situation. We do not want him to run out of money and are having trouble deciding what to do."

One reader asked, and we answered in this week’s Caregiver Column. Click the link to read. https://horizonhomecareandhospice.org/blog/post/working-and-caring-for-dad

Recently, we had the privilege of honoring one of our Kathy Hospice patients with a Veteran Pinning Ceremony.

William “Bill” Kulas served as a U.S. Marine, and we are grateful for the courage, dedication, and sacrifice he gave to our country. It was truly an honor to recognize his service and share this meaningful moment with him and his loved ones. 🇺🇸
