Not gonna lie, every time I release a new pattern, I get so nervous that it won’t do well. I pour so much of myself into these designs, and hitting that “publish” button is always equal parts exciting and terrifying. 😅

But here’s to trusting the process, showing up anyway, and weaving a little dream magic into every stitch đŸ’«

đŸ§¶ A while back my mom scored big and grabbed me a whole bunch of Lion Brand TWO of Wands Color Theory yarn from Joann’s when they were clearing out (RIP to our local Joann’s 😱).

I finally put it to use and made this peekaboo shoulder bat wing sweater — and honestly, I’m obsessed with how it turned out đŸ˜đŸ–€

Sometimes the best projects come from those “I’ll use it someday” yarn stashes 😂

If It’s Dreamable It’s Possible

I haven’t always thought this way. In fact, it’s taken me quite a while to find my way to this statement - If It’s Dreamable, It’s Possible. Dreamable, yeah, I know that’s not a “real” word, but bear with me ...

As a little girl, I always had a wild imagination. I would soar through the skies as an eagle, climb mountain tops as a cougar, dive the depths of the sea as killer whale, dance on clouds connected to rainbows as a unicorn! There wasn’t a thing I couldn’t do, and there wasn’t a place I couldn’t go. I remember wanting to grow up and be ... EVERYTHING!

Well, I couldn’t be EVERYTHING! I had to pick something? Pick something! They all told me to “PICK SOMETHING!” Well, I still haven’t picked ANYTHING. Not ONE thing. I refuse to limit myself. A natural born rebel I suppose. There was the time I enrolled in beauty school only to withdraw my application. Then there was the time I applied to the police academy. Oh, and let’s not forget the two semesters I spent in actual college learning all about dental hygiene. That’s not it ... I also did actually receive my certificate for medical coding and billing, but never actually used it to get a job. Why? .... Because I wasn’t interested anymore.

My interests have wavered a lot through the years, and picking that ONE thing wasn’t easy. I have to admit, I still haven’t been able to pick it, but I believe it picked me! Being creative, imagining, that’s something I have always been interested in. Dreaming ... that’s my passion. Once I let myself dream and create without restraint, I began to feel more alive! More alive than I have ever felt in the past 15 years!
