🍁 Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 I’m baking a ton of desserts this weekend — still not enough to feed all the family and friends I won’t be seeing over the holidays, but enough to suffuse the house with a scent of cinnamon, sugar, chocolate, pumpkin so thick it sticks to my hair and follows me everywhere and reminds me of happier times past and happier times to come.
Deep thanks to you all — I’m a better me for knowing you. I look forward to seeing you on the other side of this, when our air-hugs and air-fives can be exchanged for the real deal.

Continuing our monthly support for organizations working for racial justice, we’ll be donating 50% of the profits from our Etsy shop in August to — Black Leaders Organizing for Communities. They’re doing great work here in advocating and agitating for safety, housing, health, food, water, education, purpose, dignity, democracy, and freedom & justice for the Black people of our city.
Black lives matter. Let’s each keep doing what we can to prove it, whether you donate, protest, step up and speak up when a Karen or a Ken starts spouting nonsense, write and call your elected officials, run for office yourself, vote (definitely — every. single. election!). We can make a change, so let’s do it!

June 2020 sales benefited the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund. July 2020 sales benefit the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Let's all do what we can. ❤️
