Last night was such a blast! Thank you The Johnny Sincerely Orchestra for inviting me to read tarot and peddle art along with so many talented and amazing, kind, creative humans. And thank you everyone who braved the storm to celebrate our beloved ringleader! Happy Birthday Johnny (Jesse)!

Thanks to all my patrons who signed up for Tarot and allowing me to read for you—I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with each and everyone of you throughout the night. I dearly hope that you gained some perspective on your personal situations or at least enjoyed the novelty of the experience, though hopefully both!

Remember that you are in control of your own story, so don’t I overthink it. The answers are typically simple even if the question seems complicated. Rule of thumb: it’s not complicated. Just make sure whatever you choose to do, it’s the healthiest decision for YOU. You can’t control other people. Period. And sometimes we don’t have the ability to change our situation, at least not immediately—so do what you can. I like to say “stay on your side of the street” or “stay in your hula hoop”, as that is what you can expect to control—yourself a d your actions. In all other areas, acceptance is key.

Be the kindest YOU you can be throughout the journey; remember—being kind is not being a doormat, so be kind to you first and foremost. 🖤

Hello! Welcome to my page! I just wanted to slap a face on the skeleton that is Reverend Bones!

Q&A

Q: Are you actually a Reverend?
A: I am! I wanted to prove to my foster parents that anyone could have god-given power because religion is a manmade thing but SPIRITUALITY belongs to all.

Q: Why “Bones”?
A: I went by The Irreverent Reverent for a long time but feel Bones is more befitting considering my other hustle as an artist deals much in bones. You can find my art at The_Bone_and_Root or use the link in my bio for even more resources!

Q: How did you end up on this path?
A: I always wanted to help people with their inner demons, so to speak. I wanted be a therapist but I have too much empathy and I am not sure I could compartmentalize my personal feelings in that setting and be professional; therefore, when I started going pagan with life and art, I felt a draw to take it a little further. Once I wrapped my skeptical brain around the fact that tarot was a lot like paganism, very nature-based and action/reality driven—working with what already exists and can feasibly be accomplished—I got excited. And I found I was quite good at it!

Q: How are you different from other readers?
A: I can’t really say because there’s so many different styles and belief systems behind each individual—we’re all similar as far as being readers, of course, but the variables after that are virtually endless. I CAN tell you that I genuinely want to be of service and my style is a bit pragmatic.

Q: What would you say to other skeptics who aren’t keen on paganism or perhaps have belief systems that prevent them from participating without some fear?
A: I say—I was right there with you until I learned tarot is definitely as much earthbound as it is spiritual or cosmic than people think. And with a foundation more psychological than divine. Additionally, much of the imagery is familiar mainstream religious symbolism from Judaism, to Christianity, as well as pagan and Gnostic ideologies; so basically tarot is quite omnist or all-encompassing and equally helpful, using tools and/or beliefs you might already possess!

The Spring Solstice is upon us: it’s the time of rebirth, waking up, re-energizing, it’s time to grow. And what’s more painful…and rewarding, than growth? Than being ALIVE?
Or waking, after a very deep sleep…

Don’t fight against it. Seem to understand it. Accept it. Embrace it. WELCOME it. Try a ceremony if that helps or a simple toast. Give the change time and space to unfold. And in turn, the transition will start to alleviate any discomfort ongirt and you’ll begin to feel energized and more productive in all aspects of your life.
