"I heard about mistakes as necessary, as beneficial, as sacred in themselves, about the mistake of not making mistakes. And I left the group daring to think of my own life in an entirely new light."

Wonderful to see the impact of our authors' words across time and geography--in this case, an arts studio in New Mexico! Thanks to teacher and writer Mandy Gardner for sharing.

Maybe it was because I was staring at a small book from Cow Tipping Press, the cover declaring “Massive Blunders,” or maybe I was inspired by a remark I heard recently

Today’s book feature: The Moon Was A Ruby! 🌝

“‘Clean Crew’ reminds me a of a time when I was a little kid and I had a bowling ball that was ruby red. And I called it ruby red. Because it was bright like a ruby. I like ‘Clean Crew’ because I like to cook different things. Different things on the menu. At the group home we like to cook, and we cook together. I like to learn how to make different things.

‘I’m Happy With Who I Am’ has a good message that other people should like be proud of who I am and the things that I’m able to do, and they always called me baby girl. I was always the baby of the family. But a lot of times, I wish I was normal.

‘My Memories’ is like remembering the things I used to do when I was younger. I have all the memories of all the people who have passed in my life, and all the places I have been traveling. I like the part about hosing the game show. I like hosting things.” – Shaunte

Did you know that Cow Tipping Press has a gathering just for Fellows once a year? Well, It was nice being able to kick off the new year by getting to meet new Fellows (former students we’ve hired to co-teach classes!) for 2026 as well as getting to catch up with former Fellows. We met at the fun food hall . We also had three speakers from cool organizations that could potentially serve as new opportunities for former Fellows. We had a great time eating and chatting together! 🥳
