Are you someone who has been harmed while in ministry? At the RC we know that all too often those who hold roles and positions within churches, para-church orgs, and ministries find themselves trapped or silenced in the face of leadership issues for the sake of protecting reputations, maintaining donors/congregants, or having access to livelihood and basic needs 🕯️

We welcome folks of all genders seeking to heal and expand as you continue to process experiences of religious trauma and/or spiritual abuse while working or volunteering in ministry. Join Michelle F. Moseley (she/her), MS, LCMHC, NCC, BC-TMH this Summer on Tuesdays from 1-3pm CT (11am-1pm PT // 2-4pm ET) for intentionally curated discussions on the intersections of deconstruction & reclamation surrounded by other reclaimers who have been harmed in the name of religion and/or spirit 👁️

Seeking additional support and solidarity as you sustain your reclamation work?

Deconstruction fatigue is real and finding a therapist, exploring a new therapeutic or somatic modality, or even knowing what and who is available in your state can be overwhelming.

The RC offers a free Resource Directory on our website to take some of the stress of resourcing off of survivors plates — you can search a myriad of tags for locations, specialties, and insurance to find a resource that fits your healing trajectory 🌈

Religious Trauma Is Real

Reclamation Collective is committed to holding space for folks navigating Religious Trauma and Adverse Religious Experiences, including themes of Religious Trauma, Deconstruction, Deconversion, and Spiritual Abuse. This work is informed by our many partnerships and collaborations with trauma-informed clinicians, community leaders, and activists who validate the wide spectrum of experiences and symptoms that may present following an Adverse Religious Experience. We aspire to honor diversity of thought and validate the countless paths that lead to healing, inner peace, and relational harmony through deconstruction and reclamation. Whether you are experiencing a wave of anger or resentment towards your faith of origin or you are in the process of trying to reclaim or reconstruct within a faith context, your experience is valid.
