People often assume that individuals seek out treatment for Tourette mainly to reduce tics, but input from the Tourette community suggests there are other important reasons. We asked participants in our study to share why they are seeking treatment. Read about it here and at the community summary on our website “What ‘tic hassles’ do patients care about”. This data came from the paper published in December 2025 called “Patient perspectives on tic-related impairment: A qualitative examination”. 🔗 in bio!

We can't wait! See you on Monday! 🩵

Our MN Chapter has been busy behind the scenes preparing an educational- and fun-filled year of events.

Join our first *virtual* meeting to learn about Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). An effective, non-drug therapy that teaches individuals skills to manage tics by increasing awareness, using competing behaviors to stop urges, and making lifestyle changes to reduce triggers.

Hope to see you all there!

Telling people about your tics can be hard especially during the busyness of the holiday season. Self-disclosure zones are a good tool for understanding who you want to share personal things with. We like to encourage people to think about their self-disclosure zones so they can control how and when they talk about their tics! 🤗
