UPDATE: 2/3/26: My sincerest gratitude to those that have donated & shared my post. Your trust in me without knowing any details does NOT go unnoticed. One day I hope to share this specific story with you. 💙 I’ll have a goal amount later tonight, until then, every donation of any size helps. All is going towards good 💙

🩵 URGENT NEED 🩵 We are seeking monetary donations to help our neighbors remain safe, as they were suddenly displaced yesterday due to the occupation. Please donate if are able, or maybe you have friends/family wanting to donate, share Blue Circle’s Venmo - any amount is helpful! I understand that people are being pulled in many directions right now & we’re all doing what we can! As a friend recently reminded me, mutual aid saves lives! Keep up the good fight!
With love,
Amzie, resident of North Mpls

Our city has been holding a lot of grief these past weeks. In moments like this, we turn to care, creativity, and one other.
This Thursday we’re opening our doors to anyone who needs to process, feel, make, or simply be in community. In the wake of ongoing state violence in our city, this is one small way we can heal.
Come print a poster, draw, or experiment. If you’re already working on a project and just need space, you’re welcome to bring it. We would love to hold space with you.

Thursday, Jan 29 | 1-4 pm

Painter Amy Sherald has canceled her upcoming solo exhibition, titled “American Sublime,” at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery after the museum considered removing her painting of a Black transgender Statue of Liberty. The show was slated to open in September.

“I entered into this collaboration in good faith, believing that the institution shared a commitment to presenting work that reflects the full, complex truth of American life,” the artist wrote to Lonnie G. Bunch III, the secretary of the Smithsonian, who runs the Portrait Gallery. “Unfortunately, it has become clear that the conditions no longer support the integrity of the work as conceived.’’
