Today, as we commemorate 26 years of Ascension uniting as one healthcare system, we celebrate the individuals who bring our Mission to life every single day.
Meet one of our incredible nurses who shares the story of her calling. She knew she wanted to be a nurse while watching the compassionate care her grandmother received during a battle with cancer.
This spirit of loving service is the heartbeat of Ascension. While our sites of care each have their own unique history, this deep commitment to care is the thread that unites us and ties into a legacy of service that goes back several centuries, inspired by the healing ministry of Jesus.

As a cosmetic dentist and daughter of a breast cancer survivor, Lindsey knew the importance of staying proactive about her health. 🌸
When a small area of concern appeared on her imaging, Dr. Alison Moody guided her through every step with compassion, expertise, and unwavering support.
Today, Lindsey is back to her dental practice and yoga routine, grateful for the care that caught her cancer early and gave her confidence in her journey. 💕

💗 It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we’re sharing stories of strength that inspire us all. 💗 For Santa Rosa Beach mom Dee Dee, a self-exam changed everything. After being diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, she found hope and healing with Dr. Alison Moody.
She’s celebrating remission and reminding other women: “Do your self-exams and advocate for yourself. You know your body better than anyone.” 💪💖
When Santa Rosa Beach resident Dee Dee was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in early 2024, she was stunned. “I’ve always been the healthy one,” she said. “I play tennis, pickleball, drink my spinach shakes, I thought I was doing everything right.”
