At just 11 years old, Cate has already faced more than most.

She was diagnosed with bone marrow failure as an infant and has spent years experiencing bone pain, transfusions and biopsies. Through it all, she remains an imaginative and empathetic kid who loves reading, writing and cheerleading.

Cate's family has already inspired more than 2,000 people to join the registry, but she still needs a matching donor. After a recent biopsy revealed a mutation that could lead to malignancy, the search has become even more urgent.
