What an amazing Saturday at the South Bend HUGG Fest! Brickyard's Fountainview Care Center was so honored to be a part of this beautiful celebration of Hope, Understanding, Gratitude, and Grace.

To all the caregivers in our community- thank you for the love, compassion, and strength you share every single day. You are the heart of what makes our world brighter.

A special shout-out to everyone who created, organized, and managed this incredible event. Your hard work and heart brought so many people together - and we are still feeling the joy!

Spooky Fun at Fountainview

Our residents had a fang-tastic time at this year's Halloween party here at Brickyard's Fountainview Care Center! From festive treats and creative costumes to laughter and games, it was an afternoon full of joy, delicious food, and plenty of Halloween spirit.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for making it all possible - and to our residents for bringing the fun and smiles that light up every celebration!

Brickyard's Fountainview Care Center was thrilled to join our friends at Hellenic for their 5-Year Birthday Bash! It was such a joy spending time with Hellenic’s residents and our fellow senior-serving community members.

From a lively scavenger hunt to a tremendous charcuterie board, the afternoon was filled with laughter, connection, and wonderful conversation.

We’re so grateful to be part of a community that celebrates together, supports one another, and knows how to have a great time! Here’s to many more years of friendship and fun

Our hearts (and glue sticks!) were full this week at Fountainview Care Center by Brickyard as we celebrated Autumn Craft Day with our wonderful partners at Dunes Hospice!

Residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative with colorful leaves, pumpkins, and all things fall. Creating fall trees, the spirit of the season came alive through every extra touch and smile.

A big thank you to our friends at Dunes Hospice for bringing the supplies, the inspiration, and so much joy. Days like this remind us how much warmth and connection a little creativity can bring.

What a SPOOK-tacular night at Fountainview Care Center by Brickyard's Trunk or Treat!

Last night was an absolute BLAST! Our residents had so much fun dressing up and handing out candy to all the adorable little monsters, goblins, superheroes, and witches that stopped by. What a wonderful turnout!

The trunks were nothing short of AMAZING – so creative, colorful, and festive! Big thanks to everyone who participated and helped bring the Halloween spirit to life. The laughter, smiles, and sweet treats made for an unforgettable evening.

We love creating these special moments with our community - and we’re already counting down to next year!

Veterans Tribute Ceremony

Last night, staff of the Fountainview Care Center team had the honor of attending The Center for Hospice Care’s Veterans Tribute Ceremony at the Captain Robert J. Hiler Jr. Veterans Memorial in Mishawaka, IN. It was a perfect autumn evening filled with reverence, gratitude, and heartfelt remembrance.

Hosted as part of the We Honor Veterans program, the ceremony paid tribute to those who have selflessly served our country and community. We Honor Veterans is a national initiative by the National Alliance for Care at Home in collaboration with the Veterans Administration, aimed at increasing access to and improving the quality of care for veterans—especially in their final days.

The evening featured a moving presentation of the colors by Miller’s Vets, powerful remarks by Major John LaDue, US Marine Corps, and the dedication of commemorative plaques and bricks to honor the lives and legacies of local servicemen and women.

We are grateful to The Center for Hospice Care for hosting such a meaningful event, and for their continued commitment to honoring those who served.

To all our veterans: thank you for your service and sacrifice. We honor you—not just on this night, but always.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Wakarusa's Sensational Saturdays Senior Resource Fair on Saturday, October 11th!

Fountainview Care Center by Brickyard had such a wonderful time connecting, learning, and celebrating the many resources and joys that come with getting older. From helpful information to fun conversations - it was truly a special day.

A special shout-out to the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce - we appreciate your support and all that you do for our community!

Getting older really is fun when we’re in it together!

We were so grateful to be invited to the Bumps & Babies event hosted by Beacon and CareSource this week!

Thank you to the organizers for putting together such a meaningful gathering — the wealth of safety net resources represented was truly inspiring and a testament to the strength and compassion within our community.

At Fountainview Care Center by Brickyard, we are always honored to be part of events that support families, mothers, and little ones as well as our senior community. It was a joy to connect with so many passionate individuals and organizations working together to make a difference.

Chili, Cheers & 95 Years!

What’s better than a chili cook off? A chili cook off in honor of our very own Dell Owens, who just turned 95 years young!

We turned up the heat at Fountainview Care Center by Brickyard for this spicy celebration — and in true Fountainview fashion, we made it EXTRA special by naming the event the first annual "Dell Owens Chili Cook Off" in honor of Dell’s incredible milestone and vibrant spirit.

Big thanks to Aseracare Hospice for being part of Dell’s care journey and celebrating alongside us — your support means the world!

Shoutout to our amazing Activities Director, Meka, who brought the flavor and went home with the trophy as the official Chili Cook Off Champion!

At Fountainview, we take pride in celebrating our residents' legacies and our team’s heart-filled contributions to our community. Days like this remind us just how special our Fountainview family really is.

Happy 95th, Dell! Here's to many more birthdays and bowls of chili!
