That is very interesting!

According to a 2024 study published in *Frontiers in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry* (PMID: 39944746), children aged 2–7 years with autism spectrum disorder who received transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) twice weekly for 10 weeks showed an average 7-point reduction in Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS-2) scores. This reduction indicated a measurable improvement in overall autism symptom severity following the treatment.

According to the same study, the behavioral improvements were accompanied by changes in brain activity, including decreased delta power and increased beta and gamma power on EEG, which were correlated with symptom changes. The researchers also reported that the therapy was well tolerated, with no moderate or severe adverse effects observed during the study period.
