Gratitude Spotlight – Katie 💡

Each November, we honor the facilitators who bring care, presence, and healing into the Wellness Collective community. Today we’re celebrating Katie, who guides our Rolf Movement Series — a space where grounding, mobility, and mindful embodiment meet.

Here are Katie’s reflections for Gratitude Month:

💫 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“Getting my dog out for a walk first thing every morning.”

🌄 A person, place, or community in Moab that fills your cup:
“Navajo sandstone.”

🧡 A moment from this year that reminded you of your purpose:
“In dealing with some personal health challenges this year, it has helped me empathize more with my clients in helping to facilitate their own healing journeys.”

🤍 One act of kindness—big or small—that meant a lot to you lately:
“Friends helping me decontaminate all of my personal belongings.”

🕊️ One intention you’re carrying into the new year for your own wellness:
“I’m working towards maintaining a positive outlook and being patient with the process of healing.”

Katie, thank you for the way you model gentleness, resilience, and embodied care — for others and for yourself. We are so grateful you are here.

Join Katie in the new year for the next Rolf Movement Series.

Gratitude Spotlight – Amanda 🍁

Each November, we pause to honor the facilitators who bring their care, presence, and heart into the Wellness Collective community. Today, we’re celebrating Amanda, who guides restorative and mindful offerings that help us to reset, and come back home to ourselves.

Amanda’s reflections for Gratitude Month:

💫 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“My daily ritual is having my coffee in silence with my dog and cat each morning. Spending half an hour or so just sitting and sipping my coffee in the presence of my beloved creatures allows me to feel grateful in the present moment for their companionship and our home. Quietly starting my day in ritual allows me to better respond to whatever happens in the day ahead.”

🌿 A person, place, or community in Moab that fills your cup:
“My yoga students, whether new or recurring, fill my cup. It’s humbling to get to witness people showing up for themselves. It keeps me feeling inspired to show up for them as well. Each time someone chooses to attend my class, I can’t help but smile and feel grateful.”

✨ A moment that reminded you of your purpose:
“This year, I reached my ten-year mark of teaching yoga and mindfulness. As I reflected on my journey as a teacher, I was reminded of just how important it is for me to facilitate these practices. I can honestly say learning to teach yoga is one of the best decisions I’ve made.”

🤍 One act of kindness that meant a lot:
“We live in a small enough community where chances are, you’ll run into someone you know on a daily basis. Recently, I had a few run-ins that all included hugs. I didn’t realize how much I needed those hugs during a particularly challenging week. It’s amazing how much a small and kind gesture can really make an impact.”

🕊️ One intention for your own wellness in the year ahead:
“As teachers, we sometimes tend to put more into the wellness of others than ourselves. It’s easy to burn out. This year I intend to commit to my own practices and to make time for myself more than I have in years past.”

Amanda, we are so grateful you’re here!

Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is perfect.
It’s a practice of gently noticing what supports us — even on the hard days.

At the Wellness Collective, we return to gratitude to cultivate steadiness, connection, and resilience. It can be as simple as noticing a small moment of beauty, telling someone you appreciate them, or writing down one thing that felt good today.

These practices don’t erase our struggles — they help us stay rooted while we move through them.

🌿 How are you tending to gratitude this week?
Share with us, or simply take a slow breath and hold your answer in your heart.

Gratitude Spotlight – Sam 🍁

We’re so excited to welcome Sam to the Wellness Collective community! She recently moved here from Flagstaff and brings a warm, calming, and deeply embodied energy to her facilitation.
Have you tried her Radical Rest class yet? 😌
It’s a space to unwind, release, and gently return home to yourself.

Here are Sam’s reflections for Gratitude Month:

💫 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“I’m so grateful for daily movement. However gentle or adventurous, movement always brings me back into my body and reminds me how blessed I am to live in a healthy body with freedom to move and play!”

🌄 A person, place, or community in Moab that fills your cup:
“Recently moving here from Flagstaff, I am so grateful to have landed in this community of Moab. I feel a deep connection to the powerful yet peaceful presence this sweet community holds and the land that surrounds us. So grateful!”

🕊️ One intention you’re carrying into the new year for your own wellness:
“I am really leaning into forgiveness and trust in ways I haven’t explored before. Finding joy and clarity in forgiving others and more importantly, forgiving myself. I love how life continues to offer opportunities for letting go and even when it feels challenging in the moment, I trust that peace is coming.”

We are so grateful you’re here, Sam — and so grateful for the softness, embodied wisdom, and restorative care you bring to our Moab community.

Gratitude Spotlight – Rob 🌄

Each November, we celebrate the facilitators whose presence and dedication bring light, balance, and care to our community.

This week’s Gratitude Spotlight features Rob, who leads our Community Acupuncture, & Herbal Meditation sessions—spaces where stillness, healing, and connection meet.

🌞 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“My early morning Taiji practice under the stars in my backyard, followed by a twilight morning walk—often out on the slickrock trail or Mill Creek. The combination of outdoor Taiji and early morning walking deeply connects me to this landscape and feeds my soul to be grounded and ready to see patients all day. I feel so grateful to be able to be in such a beautiful landscape on a daily basis.”

💛 A moment from this year that reminded you of your purpose:
“Part of my purpose is to bring people to the highest level of health possible. I had a moment during a community acupuncture session last week where the whole room felt so vibrant while everyone was resting with needles in. After the session, a number of folks remarked how blissed out they felt, and we all left the session a little in awe of the healing energy that swept through the room that evening.”

🕊️ One intention you’re carrying into the new year for your own wellness:
“I hope to continue bringing some quality healing energy to Moab for the year to come!”

Rob’s grounded wisdom and gentle energy remind us that healing begins in presence—and that gratitude often starts by simply noticing the world around us.

✨ New on the blog!
What if wellness isn’t just about what we eat, how we move, or how much we rest—but also how we care?
In The Quiet Power of Self-Compassion and Service, Juliet explores the quieter side of wellness—the gentle strength that comes from showing kindness to ourselves and extending that care to others.

Her reflections remind us that compassion and service aren’t grand gestures—they’re everyday choices that can steady the heart and reconnect us to what matters most.

Gratitude Spotlight: Meet Cody

Each November, we shine a light on the incredible facilitators who bring presence, wisdom, and care to our community.

This week, we’re honored to share reflections from Cody, who guides our Qigong classes every other Saturday—offering gentle movement and mindfulness practices that nurture body, mind, and spirit.

💫 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“Organizing a qi field. This is simply locating myself in the healing energy field created by all wisdom beings.”

💧 A person, place, or community in Moab that fills your cup:
“Matrimony Springs fills my literal and metaphorical cup. It is my connection to all the waters of the world.”

🌿 A moment from this year that reminded you of your purpose:
“Awakening more to a tangible feeling that my practice benefits all living beings has been a series of little moments that arose throughout this year.”

💛 One act of kindness—big or small—that meant a lot to you lately:
“The recovery group I work with elected to wait for me to return from vacation to celebrate an important milestone. I find this deeply moving.”

🕊️ One intention you’re carrying into the new year for your own wellness:
“I intend to continue cultivating compassion for myself and for all living beings as a wellness practice.”

Cody’s reflections are a reminder that gratitude is both a personal and collective practice—one we nurture through awareness, compassion, and connection.
