🌟AMG Leadership Team Spotlight: Meet Stacey Smith! 🌟

Q: What is your role at Alabama Medical Group?

A: I serve as the Claims Auditor and Infusion Verification Supervisor. I’ve been with Alabama Medical Group for 14 ½ years, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow with this organization and contribute to the care we provide our patients.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your work?

A: I enjoy the challenge of my role and the opportunity to support both patients and staff by ensuring accuracy and efficiency. It’s rewarding to know that my work helps make a difference in the patient care process.

Q: Tell us a little about your family.

A: I have a wonderful partner, José, and together we share five children—one son and four daughters—as well as five beautiful grandchildren, two boys and three girls.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: José and I love spending time with our family and friends. We enjoy watching sports, having cookouts, and one of our favorite traditions is gathering for Sunday brunch.

Alabama Medical Group, P.C. is seeking a full-time Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of Infectious Disease for direct patient care in the hospital setting.

Job duties include triage, assessment of patient health status, prescribing and monitoring treatments for patients and providing a continuum of care, documents patient information and care in patient medical record. This position is in a hospital setting under the supervision of an Infectious Disease physician. This position provides support for multiple Infectious Disease physicians requiring excellent communication between midlevel and patient’s physician in a hospital setting.

Masters degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program or CRNP masters program. National certification required. State license required.

Schedule is 7 on/ 7 off. Weekday hours of 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Weekend hours are 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full-time position available for an X-ray Technologist. Job duties include preparing patients for radiologic procedures, positioning patients for X-rays, checking X-rays for clarity of images, maintaining required records, performing quality control checks on X-ray unit, cleaning and maintaining X-ray equipment, and maintaining all supplies and orders. Other duties as assigned.

Associates degree or above in radiological technology preferred.

1-3 years of experience as an X-ray technician preferred.

The 2025 Beat the Pressure campaign was a resounding success, and we are pleased to recognize the exceptional efforts of our providers and care teams. Dr. Peter Braud and his team achieved the most improved percentage of patients with controlled blood pressure in November. Additionally, Lauren Clifton, CRNP, and her team earned the top distinction among all Advanced Practice Providers for the highest percentage of patients with controlled blood pressure during the same period.

For the calendar year 2025, the most improved blood pressure control recognition is awarded to the healthcare teams of Dr. Matthew Burden and Kenneth Dreibelbis, PA-C. The highest overall performance awards for the year are presented to Dr. Gray Arnold and his team and Ebie Forwood, PA-C, and her team.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our teams for their dedication to improving patient outcomes and for contributing to the success of the Beat the Pressure campaign.
