Trusting yourself can be one of the hardest things to do — especially when you’ve been through something painful.
You trusted that person.
You shared love, time, and connection.
Things felt right… until they didn’t.
When that trust was broken, you were left with confusion, anger, and a deep loss of hope — hope to be close to someone again, and even hope to trust yourself again.
The hardest part is learning how to give yourself the love you were searching for in others.
After the experience, all you can see is the experience.
All you can feel is the attachment.
Being alone with yourself can feel like the darkest tunnel — numb, lonely, no light in sight.
But I’m here to tell you: your light is still there.
Healing doesn’t happen all at once.
A friend of mine recently told me to Take baby steps to my goals.
Any step toward what you want matters.
To focus on small goals — daily, weekly, even moment by moment — and let them slowly guide you out of the tunnel.
So give yourself grace.
Give yourself time.
And don’t be afraid to ask for help.
So today, think about the things that truly make you happy.
Create small goals around them, and let them become your light —
even inside your shadow.
