Early Intervention is Powerful!! 💪🏽

If you know Dr Johnson, she is quick to refer your child to therapies and Early Intervention.

Early Intervention Services from 0-3yrs of age is Free!!!!

The brain 🧠 grows rapidly in early childhood—and that’s where support matters most.

Therapies like speech, occupational, and ABA can help children build:
• Communication skills
• Social interaction
• Daily living skills
• Emotional regulation

💙 Early intervention doesn’t “change who your child is”—it helps them THRIVE as they are.

The earlier we start, the more progress we can support.

Early Signs Matter! 🔔

Early signs of autism can appear before age 2—and noticing them early opens doors.

Look for things like:
• Limited eye contact
• Not responding to name consistently
• Delayed speech or loss of words
• Repetitive movements (rocking, hand flapping)🤗
• Strong preference for routines

Every child develops differently—but if something feels off, trust that instinct.

💙 Early evaluation = early support = better outcomes

📞 We’re here to walk that journey with you.🫶🏾

Understanding Autism

Autism is not a disease—it’s a different way of experiencing the world.🌎

Children with autism may communicate, learn, and interact in ways that are unique to them. Some may speak early, some later. Some love routine, others seek sensory input.

There is no “one look” for autism—just a spectrum of beautiful differences. 💙💚

💙 Early understanding leads to early support—and that makes all the difference.

📍 If you have concerns about your child’s development, talk to us. You’re not alone in this.

At Hope Harbor Pediatrics, we celebrate the beautiful diversity of every child—this week and every week. 💙

During Autism Awareness & Acceptance Week, we honor the unique strengths, perspectives, and voices of children on the autism spectrum. 🧩

Autism is not something to “fix”—it’s something to understand, support, and embrace. Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued for exactly who they are. 🫶🏾

We are committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where families feel supported and children can thrive.💚🩵💛💙

Let’s continue to build a world rooted in acceptance, inclusion, and love. 💙

After the Baby 👼🏽— Postpartum Still Matters

The story doesn’t end at delivery.

The postpartum period is one of the most vulnerable times for mothers—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Yet many women—especially Black women—are left without adequate follow-up care.

You deserve:
✔️ Rest 😴
✔️ Support
✔️ Mental health care
✔️ Continued medical attention

Healthy moms matter just as much as healthy babies.

Call to Action:
❤️ Check on a new mom today. It can make all the difference.

Advocacy in the Room — You Deserve Respect

Every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected during her care. 🫶🏾

Bring someone with you. 👭
Ask questions.
Speak up when something feels off. 🔔

For many Black women, advocacy is not optional—it’s essential. But it shouldn’t be that way.

Let’s create a system where EVERY woman is believed the first time.

Call to Action:
💬 Tag a support person who would show up for you—no questions asked.

Know the Signs — Your Voice Matters

Your body speaks. Your voice matters.

Warning signs during pregnancy and postpartum can include:
• Severe headaches 🤕
• Vision changes 👀
• Chest pain or shortness of breath 😮‍💨
• Heavy bleeding
• Swelling in hands/face
• Feeling like something isn’t right

Black women are often not heard or taken seriously when they speak up—and that must change.

Trust yourself. Speak up. Seek care.

Call to Action:
📌 Save this post. You or someone you love may need it.

Black Maternal Health Week is about awareness—but also about action.

We move forward by:
• Listening to women’s stories
• Addressing bias in healthcare
• Improving access to quality care
• Supporting one another across communities

When we center equity, we create better outcomes for all mothers.

Every story matters. Every mother matters.
