We are thrilled to invite you to Selah's annual Baby Shower, a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting expectant mothers in our community. This year, the gathering will take place on June 12th at our main office, where we will share light refreshments and offer tours of our cherished Eden Home. Our doors will be open from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, welcoming you to bring gifts, ask questions, and explore our plans for the upcoming year.

Last year, the outpouring of generosity from the community was nothing short of inspiring, and we are hopeful to experience that same spirit of unity and support this year. Our aim is to gather enough supplies to assist four new residents as they embark on their journey towards independent living.

Below we have prepared a baby registry listing the essential items we need for our goal. You are welcome to order directly from the registry and have the gifts sent straight to our office, or bring them with you on the day of the event. Either way, we would love to have you join us in the office at the event to thank you!

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, offering hope and support to these remarkable mothers. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a meaningful difference. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the power of community and compassion.

Did you know...
We hold a weekly Bible study with our residents? These gatherings are more than just a time for reflection and spiritual growth; they provide a nurturing environment where the moms can find support and community. Through these sessions, we encourage open discussions that foster personal growth, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection. Our aim is to provide not only physical and emotional support but also to nourish the spiritual well-being of the moms in our care, helping them to build a strong foundation for their future.

Spring is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to announce that it’s time to dig into our Garden program, Flourish, at Hope House! As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, we’re ready to embrace the beauty of urban gardening once again.

Last year, our residents learned the art of growing their own food using innovative methods such as buckets, grow bags, and raised beds. Our small yet mighty harvest of herbs, tomatoes, green peppers, and onions was a testament to their hard work and dedication.

This year, we are overjoyed to expand our gardening efforts with the addition of some incredible garden boxes, generously donated by a wonderful community member. These boxes will open up new possibilities for our residents to learn, grow, and Flourish alongside their plants.

We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of our Monroe Community partners and sponsors. Your generosity in providing finances, resources, and care is the seed that helps Selah’s Center of Hope residents and their children grow towards brighter, independent futures.

Let’s nurture hope and harvest joy together!

This Resurrection Sunday, we at Selah's are reminded of the profound hope and renewal that this day represents. Just as the dawn of Easter brings with it the promise of new life and transformation, so too do we aim to inspire new beginnings and fresh starts for the courageous expectant mothers in our care.

At Selah's, we provide more than just shelter; we offer a sanctuary where physical needs are met, and emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are nurtured. Our mission is to walk alongside these mothers as they journey towards independence, fostering an environment where they can thrive and build a brighter future for themselves and their children.

As we celebrate the triumph of hope and renewal today, let us also celebrate the resilience and strength of the mothers we serve. Together, we can help them rise and create a life filled with promise and possibility. Happy Resurrection Sunday!
