We Dare to Care is founded by myself, my mom & my sister our goal has always been to give back to our community. The more we gave, the more we noticed a lot of other people wanting to give back as well. The only problem was that we would all give back but only make a small impact. Then I realized, if we all united as givers, volunteers and just good people our efforts would make a BIG difference and so we did & came up with We Dare to Care.Our goal is to to & to We are an Organized Group of Givers, Lovers, Regular People, Families & Businesses who give Our Time, Our Love, Our Talents, Our Contacts & when we can Our Money to great non profits & community projects in Our Community. We are known for our Community Outreach & Homeless Feeding in China Town every December in Salinas. For this event we partner with The Home Depot, Subway, The Portola Hotel & Spa, Jurassic Pets, Individuals, families & business donors. This Year we are excited to be working with the Clinica De Salud Mobile Clinic. We provide a subway meal, fruit, (on cold raining days we have made 20 gallons of hot chocolate & also served pan dulce) They also get toiletries packs (with shampoo, conditioner, TP, lotion, a new toothbrush & toothpaste). They also get socks, beanies, gloves, scarfs & can go through gently used clothing & jackets. The Home Depot provide tarps and panchos to stay dry & also hosts the clothing drive For this event we reach about 300 homeless people, families & animals. We ALSO give, support and volunteer for Local Foster Youth with Peacock Acres, Local Special Needs Children with Salinas Circle for Children & Tatum's Garden, Animal Rescue with The SPCA, Monterey County Animal Services & many other local & California Animal Shelters. We also give to families in need depending on the need. Our drop off location is always (JT Healthcare Uniforms 918 South Main St in Salinas CA) and are looking to add more drop off locations. We are Now starting to collect New packs of socks, gloves, beanies, blankets & scarfs for Our Outreach this December
