A little CEP Daily Lung testimony from Shoultz..
As many of you know, I am very proudly sponsored by CEP. When getting Martha last spring, we were very aware of the allergies she had and how badly it could effect her if not taken care of properly. She’s not a bleeder & was not ran on lasix. Although she was run on dexamethasone pellets in her grain and a pre-run paste called “air power”. When getting her off the trailer the night we brought her home, I could hear every breath she took. As the first few days of owning her went by, the allergies got worse and worse. We believe after a year of owning her now that she’s allergic to bedding which is impossible for us to avoid. We decided to have her checked out by our vet to get his thoughts and we decided to run SMZ’s through her thinking maybe she was having respiratory issues & the last thing we needed at this time was a horse with pneumonia or bronchitis. After days of this, the SMZ’s did us no good and we switched to shots of Exceed which also didn’t give us the results we wanted. We then looked into the pelleted daily lung supplement and gave it a shot as we were desperate at this point & needed results fast. We started the daily lung immediately and she drained out of her nose and coughed for 3-4 days straight. By the 5th day she was completely cleared out and doing 110% better. Absolutely no coughing or drainage after 7 days. Daily Lung worked better than prescribed medication from my vet. Impressive right? When I was able to be sponsored by the company that has provided me and my horse with something so great and crutial to her success, I was just so thankful. I can go on and on every day about how critical their products are to Martha’s success.
Fast forward a year or so later to last weekend, I run out of Daily Lung, so I decide to give her Daily Lung paste the night before & the morning of running. She had been off of the Daily Lung pellets for maybe 4-5 days at this point. She sounded raspy when I took her off the trailer & had some drainage so I long trotted and loped her around a bit to get her lungs working and attempt to get her cleared up, which I thought had worked. After I had made a nice barrel and pole run I came back to the trailer and offered her a drink of water, which is typically a cat fight between both of my horses and this time Martha was not interested in her water.. I know her like the back of my hand and she always drinks immediately after running. I suspected she had possibly bled so I got her head down and let her eat off the ground and sure enough, I could barely see a very light, tiny spot of what I think was blood. I immediately gave her dexamethasone & electrolytes and got her home and on the deep tissue nebulizer treatment. I was slightly upset with myself and felt like I had let her down but I knew deep down she wasn’t a bleeder & it was critical she got the Daily Lung. Angela figured maybe upper respiratory issues due to being off the supplement for nearly a week at that point.
I made the hard (for me) choice to run her on Sunday. She had a deep tissue nebulizer treatment that morning, dexamethasone, and daily lung paste. She laid down a beautiful run. Not hot warming up or in the back pen, not raspy, and not coughing. After my run she drinks immediately like her normal self & has 0 drainage. At this point she had been back on Daily Lung (paste) for 3 days. After the weekend she coughed a little bit, as if she was clearing out from being back on the supplement, but nothing to be concerned of. We decided to have our vet check her out for precautionary measures & we made the choice to run exceed through her and double dose daily lung as well as deep tissue nebulizer treatments for 7-10 days. Our vet informed us that she sounds great & thinks we’re a little 😵💫… crazy. His exact words were.. “sounds like the daily lung is doing a lot more than a person thought it could” and I’d have to agree. Clearly, Martha can’t even go a couple days without it and quite literally isn’t the same horse when she’s off of it.
All in all, I owe a huge thanks to Complete Equine Performance for giving Martha what she needs to be the phenomenal athlete she is. She literally cannot go without it, and this past week has shown me that.
Martha is perfectly fine, and back on Daily Lung… I’m a terrible mom for not getting it here fast enough.. and apparently a little crazy too😂
So proud to represent a company who’s products make differences like this in our athletes!!
With all of this being said, today is the last day that it’s on sale! $99 for 120 doses. Don’t miss out!!
