We ALWAYS enjoy our time with our friends at Jefferson County Senior Citizens Center. We enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast with them today. Milly’s Catering cooked us a fabulous meal. Our team enjoys the partnership we have with the staff and clients at the Senior Center. We are thankful for each one. It is such a joy to spend time together.

Keirsten, with Ink & Iris Photography has graciously volunteered to take family photos for our residents and staff. We are scheduling 15-minute sessions on Dec 13 from 10a-2p and Dec. 16 from 4p-7p. Please call between the hours of 9-4:30 to schedule your session with your loved one.

We appreciate Keirsten for gifting our residents and staff families with such a precious opportunity.

We are giving thanks together for our many blessings over the year. We are thankful for each other, for great food, for care and keeping when we need it most, for a community who supports us, for leaders who guide us, for friends and loved ones who visit us, for churches who minister and pray for us, for public servants who protect us…. Just to name a few.

We are thankful for our “home”, where we treat your family like our family.

Thank you to all who made this day possible and special for our residents.

Thank you to the Department of Corrections for volunteering their time to share this day with us. Your time spent with us says “you matter, we see you”.

We recently had the honor of celebrating the retirement of two of the best in long term care.

Gary Brock served as Maintenance Director (later, part time Assistant) for 36 years! He served us so well. Thank you Mr. Gary for all you have done.

Wanda Brooks served as Dietary Manager for 25 years. She worked in Food Service management in nursing facilities for a total of 42 years. Thank you Wanda for your dedication to our residents.

We have been so blessed to have these fine people as part of our team. They are both greatly missed but we hope they will enjoy a well deserved retirement.

Pictures can’t quite capture the essence of fun, friendship and fellowship our HOME experienced for Halloween. There was laughter and love in abundance as we shared visits from Snow White and crew, Scooby Doo, Beetle Juice, Elsa and more. We danced until we dropped and food was plentiful.

Whether you or a loved one needs short-term rehab services or long-term care, we want you to feel at home and part of our family…. and to share in our FUN

Happy Fall Y’all!! We had a blast painting pumpkins. We even tried a Tik Tok version with fingernail polish.

Please bring the kiddos to see us this evening beginning at 5:30. We would love to hand out candy and see all of your little goblins in costume. Be safe and have fun!!

As we come to the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to recognize our breast cancer warriors and survivors Two of our own, Ms Tameka and Mrs. Evelyn, have fought this battle. In spite of their difficult journey, they have been and continue to be a service to us all!! They bring a sense of joy to our home and the lives of our residents.

Breast Cancer Awareness was the topic of presentation at the Jefferson County Senior Center. Kelly Wiggins with Big Bend Hospice spoke to the group and Brynwood shared the love by giving out “Pink Out Goodie Bags”. We treasure our friends at the Senior Center.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month draws to a close…. At Brynwood HRC we want NO ONE to fight alone. We have had fun while reminding everyone to take care of themselves and each other and to get those mammograms annually. We want you to do the same.
