Visit her in Suite 230 at The Capitol Plaza Hotel on 100 State St. A grounded person feels the force of gravity, a connection to the earth, and at the same time a sense of lightness. When your body is grounded, your mind is at peace. Makiko is a New York State licensed massage therapist who can help you feel grounded. She has over 12 years of experience in: Swedish/Deep tissue massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Craniosacral therapy and Pre-natal massage, as well as 10 years of Afro-Latin dance experience. At the end of 2015, she suddenly fell ill and experienced lung failure. Miraculously, she survived and came home for her two daughters after being hospitalized for 6 months. Because of this experience, she feels extremely grateful for every moment, and is more than happy to share her knowledge of mind and body awareness with this community through the art of massage. Holistic Therapeutic Massage is all personalized, and mixed with Posture assessment, Swedish/ Deep tissue massage, Shiatsu, Craniosacral therapy, Reflexology, Breathing work and also could add Facial Lymph Drainage Massage and Therapeutic Cupping.
