We often think of generosity as saying “yes”—to others’ needs, to extra work, to one more favor or responsibility. But sometimes, the truest form of generosity isn’t found in giving more of ourselves—it’s in knowing when to stop. Setting boundaries isn’t selfish; it’s an act of clarity and care. It’s how we teach others where respect begins, and how we preserve the energy that allows us to keep showing up with an open heart.
