Community is super important to us here at Laurel Heights Senior Living in Moorpark. This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week so we hosted the teachers from across the street at Mesa Verde Middle School to tacos & margaritas to show how much we appreciate and support them.

Spotted - our Executive Director Ronda Wilkin right behind the left side of the sign!!

Yesterday Ronda flew to Sacramento along with the Alzheimer's Association to advocate for 3 bills to be passed. These bills would create Alzheimer's diagnostic hubs to train providers and expand access to early detection; would expand and regulate the Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders (ADRD) Advisory Committee; and would improve the ability of first
responders and peace officers to engage with individuals suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s by providing them the tools and
training needed to effectively interact with those living with dementia.

They are very important bills that many turned up for and together all turned Sacramento purple as they fight to 💜

Laurel Heights Senior Living in Moorpark was well represented there as Ronda is a leader in the Alzheimer's community! Thank you for all of your hard work and perseverance Ronda, we need more people like you to help the understanding of dementia and Alzheimer's to spread.
