Our Marriage
We have been together almost six years, and every day still feels like the first. It was our love of health and fitness that brought us together and it is still the foundation of our relationship. This past year we solidified our commitment to one another by getting married. We have tackled many journeys together and are excited for what life continues to bring us. Life has always presented us with a variety of challenges, but the one thing that we have always stayed true to is the trust we have in each other, and our commitment to love. We are excited for the next chapter in our lives , and to see our family grow! About Danny
Danny was raised by his parents in a working class neighborhood in the Bronx, and has one older sister Dawn and one younger brother
Nicky. He moved to Upstate NY in 2005 to go to college where he earned my Bachelors Degree in American Sign Language/English Interpretation. Even before he graduated, he started working full time as a certified sign language interpreter. While working full time, he also earned my Masters Degree in Interpreter Education and currently works as a professor at his alma mater. Ever since he was ten years old, I loved learning sign language and about the Deaf community. About Justin
Justin was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. He grew up in a family of four with his Mom, Dad, and older sister Jamie. They spent their summers going on family vacations, spent time with their very large family during the summer, and at your typical family birthday parties. His parents gave him and his sister love, strength, and life's essentials. These are all things we want our child to have. Traditions are important, and we will make sure our child has this as their family foundation. He also works full time as a Special Education Administrator.
Traditions
Since fitness was what brought up together, we both have a connection to continuing to improve our health and wellness. You can find us volunteering for various charities and organizations by leading groups in workouts to help them reach their fitness goals. We plan to instill the love and excitement we have for fitness and wellness to our family Many nights we spend with our friends and family hosting games nights, potluck dinners, and monthly outings. We love the holidays and the many joys that they bring such as family getting together and opportunity to decorate the house as a family. Our Professions & Education
Having earned advanced degrees and both working in the education field we have a strong value for a solid education. With the flexibility of an educators schedule, in addition to the many benefits we have associated with working in education, we know that we will be able to provide a quality education for our future child.
Our Family & Friends
Our very large family is a big part of our life! With over 50 family members on both sides, we have a so many people who are on this journey with us. Both of us have been a huge part of our nephew's life and have made sure to give him the support he needed when his father was not there. Everyone is extremely supportive of the adoption process and cannot wait to welcome another little bundle of joy into this already big group! Friends are an extremely important part of our lives. We are constantly involved in many activities with our friends and their families. Through our love of fitness we have gained so many everlasting friendships. We are all family oriented people and are there for each other, no matter what it is. This strong support network we have built, means the world to us. We are fortunate to have several friends to guide us who have also gone through the adoption journey. Our Home
When we built our cozy home, we knew we needed to find a location that was not only convenient for us to work, but also still close to family. We knew that place was Batavia, NY. With a fenced in backyard and pool, we are awaiting the sounds of a child playing! We have built great relationships with our neighbors, and get together often. When we see the many families with little children walking down the streets and riding their bikes, we get excited to think that will be us soon! The schools are great and provide many opportunities for all learners. We both grew up around animals and have always loved having them as part of our lives. Our fur babies are our cats Ben (orange) and Tobey (gray and white), and our dogs, our lab Turbo and husky mix Phen! They all love children and have been around kids many times. They are just as excited as we are to have a new addition to our family.
