Bragging post!!!
3 ish months ago Malachi wouldn’t hardly eat anything by mouth. He would put some things in his mouth and let them dissolve, but to bite and chew anything, it wasn’t happening.
3 months later… this guy just finished dinner of a piece of pepperoni pizza. If we could get him to fully suck out of a straw, he’d never need to be hooked up to the feed machine again.
I’m so incredibly proud of him ❤️
A short video of him eating lunch the other day. He’s always willing to try something new too.

Okay. Results are in. Huge shoutout to Dr. McQuade for calling right after the results got in.

Brain looks better when talking about ventricles.

He does have a Chiari II Malformation which could be causing all of the problems he has. Our neurologist is reaching out to our neurosurgeon. Meeting next Thursday with everyone about the results and next steps.

Our neurologist also believes that Malachi may also have Cerebral Palsy. We are going to continue to watch him grow and see how it goes.

Possible surgery to relieve the malformation soon if our neurosurgeon thinks it's appropriate.

Lots of giant things could be happening in the next couple of months. Keep us in your prayers please ❤️

Malachi goes in tomorrow for a MRI of his brain. This will let us know how bad his Chiari is and other aspects of his brain. This is voluntary anesthesia which always comes with risks. If you all could say a prayer for little guy tonight and tomorrow morning, I’d really appreciate it.

Edit: Malachi is out of surgery and in the PICU. All went well.
