💙💛 The 2025 Children’s Nursing Summit: The Hero Within brought together 94 incredible attendees on November 12 — inpatient and outpatient nurses, school nurses, and nursing students from across our system and community.

This full day of learning and collaboration featured expert-led sessions on safety, communication, documentation, immunizations, community health, and more — all focused on elevating the care we provide to children and families.

To match the theme, the venue was transformed with hero-inspired décor, capes, and masks honoring the everyday heroes who show up for kids every single day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to be the ripple of change for our patients. 🌟💪

November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month.

Did you know nearly three million Americans have epilepsy – about 450,000 of them are kids 17 and under?

In West Virginia alone, more than 35,000 people are living with epilepsy; approximately 8,000 are children, and one-third of all patients are medically intractable, meaning medications don’t work.
