Friends of Hospice Serenity House

The Serenity House is an end-of-life comfort-care home located in Morristown, TN. Serenity House is a program under Friends of Hospice of the Lakeway Area.

Friends of Hospice Serenity House is a non-medical residence that serves up to 5 residents who are in need of an alternate environment at the end of life. Residents who come to Serenity House have a prognosis of three months or less. They must be under the care of Hospice and also have a DNO. Paid caregivers and volunteers provide 24-hour family-type care. Hospice services are provided just as they would be if the resident was in their own home. All funds collected are based strictly on ability to pay and are considered to be a donation, as Friends of Hospice Serenity House Is funded solely through donations and fundraisers. Friends of Hospice of the Lakeway Area is also a United Way of Hamblen County Agency.

It is with sadness that I am announcing my plans to retire as Director of Friends of Hospice - I will never be able to express the joy I have received in this position and with the role I have been able to play in starting our grief camp and Serenity House....God has truly blessed me good!

Since 2011, Serenity House has provided a caring, home-like environment for patients in and around Hamblen County to reside during end-of-life care.

Special thanks to the Morristown Mission Crew from First Baptist Church who are at Serenity House yesterday and today to do some much needed deep cleaning such as power washing, window washing, gutters, etc… we are so blessed! And to the special folks who set up the prayer tent on the corner of our lot 1-2 x week to provide support and prayers to those in need!!
