November is National Family Caregivers Month ๐งก

โItโs now been months without nursing, meaning my respite opportunities are sparse. Donโt get me wrong, I absolutely love being Harveyโs mom. Itโs the honor of a lifetime! And, mothering a child with complex medical needs is vastly different than typical mothering.โ
โFor Thanksgiving this year, we chose to sneak away as a family of four. We left town to spend a couple days at our familyโs lake house. We came with a premade Thanksgiving meal and no plans other than the intention of slowing down, being together, and resting as much as possible.โ
โThough caregiving responsibilities donโt take breaks, itโs been nice to have a change of scenery. We still did a bit of therapy and with Harveyโs stander, we did lots of boat and seaplane watching!โ
