Team Lapua’s Erich Mietenkorte Sweeps Washington State Championships! 🏆 Over the weekend of August 23–24, at the historic Pe Ell Sportsman’s Club in Pe Ell, Washington, Erich Mietenkorte showed unmatched consistency and skill, completing a sweep of all four 2025 Washington State Rifle Silhouette Championships, following his two High Power Championship wins earlier in August.
The Pe Ell Sportsman’s Club has become a legendary stage for competitors who embrace the challenge of the four iconic steel animals: chickens at 40 meters, pigs at 60, turkeys at 77, and rams at a distant 100 meters.
On Saturday, Erich delivered in the Standard Rifle Championship, posting 37x40 in his first 40-shot match and followed it with a 38x40 in the second, earning him the championship with a winning aggregate score of 75x80. On Sunday, Erich competed in the Hunting Rifle portion, where the lighter rifle and a minimum two-pound trigger pull make precision ex*****on even more critical. He posted a 35x40 in the morning match and followed it with a 37x40 in the afternoon, finishing with a 72x80 aggregate to claim the Hunting Rifle title and complete his smallbore sweep at Pe Ell. 💪
