It's almost time for VNA's annual in-person Lobby Day at the Virginia State Capitol!

Join us Tuesday, January 20 from 8am-12pm as VNA leaders and experienced nurses discuss nursing and healthcare legislation being considered during the 2026 General Assembly session and speak to legislators. Participants will receive training and materials, so you'll be fully prepared for a fun day of advocacy! No experience is necessary and this free event is open to ALL nurses and nursing students!

I'm sure that many of you have heard or seen this by now. This is a post from one of my Nursing professor's. I am appalled at the DOE decision to omit Nursing as a professional program, what a sad day!

To all of my Nursing staff past and present, you most certainly ARE a professional!! I've had the pleasure of knowing and working along side some amazing Nurses who hold those high standards of professionalism! Don't let this scar you! We just need to band together and speak up!!!!

❤️Today is World Prematurity Day. It raises awareness of and brings attention to the worldwide crisis of premature births. This affects 15 million babies a year and is the leading cause of death worldwide under the age of 5. The March of Dimes leads a coalition that seeks to prevent premature births and advocate for better care for affected babies and their families.💙

💙 I like to post this as a gentle reminder each year. 🎃 Children who carry a blue pumpkin for Halloween are likely non-verbal, and have Autism. So, if you have a child with a blue pumpkin show up, just be sensitive, they may not be able to speak. 💙
