This week we’re diving into taste, proprioception, vestibular, and interoception. These sensory systems that help with body awareness, balance, movement, internal cues, and feeding experiences.

These systems play a huge role in coordination, emotional regulation, and how kiddos interact with their environment. Part 3 is coming soon where we’ll talk about signs of sensory processing differences!

Let’s start with the foundations of how our kiddos experience the world! Today we’re highlighting the sensory systems of touch, smell, sight, and hearing. These systems are all essential for learning, safety, communication, and daily participation.

We had so much fun learning all about bears, hibernation, and winter—just in time for our very own snow and ice week! Thanks to teletherapy, our sessions continued despite the weather. We loved seeing our kiddos stay connected, engaged, and learning all week long both virtually and in the clinic! Huge shoutout to our families for being flexible and rolling with the winter weather with us 💙
