All smiles after your bike makes it to Mexico just in time for the race, you complete the Ironman, celebrate at Señor Frogs, meet a clown who asks if he can make you a balloon hat, says he doesn’t know how to make a bike, then returns 20 minutes later with his FIRST EVER BICICLETA BALLOON CREATION IN HAND!!!! 🤡 🚲
⏪ Rewind to this summer when I signed up for Ironman Cozumel solo. There was a bit of uncertainty about whether I’d make it back amongst pretty much everyone who knows me… but these three amazing clients and friends decided to come with me to cheer me on 🥹(and make sure I didn’t get lost in Mexico, never return, and leave them without their PT). They ordered matching 6:33 PT t shirts, kept track of me, assisted with the bike chaos, cheered me on, helped me post race, and even scoped out the best celebration spots for the next day!! (…hence how we met the clown at Señor Frogs 🐸)
Friends, I am so deeply thankful for y’all and all of your help and support!!! I quite literally couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you ♥️
I’ve said it before and will say it again - triathlon is not an individual sport (for me at least). It truly took a village! Huge shout out to my wonderful coach and friend for all of your guidance and support along the way. Thank you for packing my bike for me, all of my training friends for enduring the long hours with me, for keeping my bike race ready and keeping me fueled up and all of my family, friends, and clients for all of the encouragement and prayers. I could feel them every step of the way. Thanking God for each of you. I’m so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life 🤍🙏🏼
