Let’s talk about burnout in teens.

Especially teen athletes—the ones who are disciplined, dedicated, and constantly pushing for the next level. ⌛️

Burnout doesn’t always look like quitting. Sometimes it looks like quiet exhaustion, losing joy in the sport they used to love, or feeling like they have to perform instead of wanting to.

And here’s what they’re missing out on when burnout takes over:

✨ Unstructured free time that lets their brains reset
✨ Social moments with friends that help them stay grounded
✨ Playfulness—moving their bodies without pressure
✨ Rest that allows their identity to expand beyond performance
✨ The chance to be a kid, not just an athlete with expectations on their shoulders

If your teen athlete is pulling back, slowing down, or saying they’re “tired”—listen closely. Burnout isn’t a lack of drive. It’s a sign they’ve been carrying too much for too long. ✍️
