That’s the heart of recovery.

Addiction isolates. Shame disconnects. Pain convinces us we have to do life alone.
Recovery begins the moment connection is restored.

At WakeUp Carolina, connection is the foundation of everything we do. People showing up. Sharing honestly. Listening without judgment. Walking alongside one another through the hard parts and the healing.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to stay connected.

Because connection doesn’t just support recovery —
it gives life meaning again. 💜

Health officials are warning about a new synthetic opioid called cychlorphine that has been linked to at least 16 overdose deaths in East Tennessee.

Cychlorphine (N-propionitrile chlorphine) is part of a growing class of New Synthetic Opioids (NSOs) that are appearing in the illicit drug supply.

⚠️ Early reports indicate the drug may be more potent than fentanyl and is not approved for medical use.

Medical examiners also warn that Naloxone (Narcan) may not fully block the drug’s effects, meaning multiple doses may be required to reverse an overdose.

These emerging substances continue to make the drug supply more unpredictable and dangerous.

🛟 Protect yourself and others:
• Carry Naloxone (Narcan)
• Never use substances alone
• Stay informed about changes in the drug supply

📢 Help spread the word.
New synthetic opioids are emerging faster than ever, and sharing information could save someone’s life.
