NW Head Huggers is a non-profit charity- knitting for a cause. We make, collect and distribute handmade hats for chemo patients. We need your help! Why?

A frequent side effect of chemotherapy, brain surgery, and burn wounds is hair loss and there are many folk out there with cool heads as a result. To provide needed hats for warmth, comfort, and dignity, I am building a workforce of craftspeople to create caps by knitting, crocheting, and/or sewing. These caps will be distributed to hospitals, oncology offices, hospices, etc. so that they can more readily be available, without cost, to those who have lost their hair. To make it work, I need volunteers to help with the production. Won’t you consider joining me?

🔥💥⭐️❄️Last week we were able to deliver some hats to the peeps at Skagit Regional CCC. Stay warm friends. ❤️ We already received a thank you from one of the patients there. ❤️ So awesome! My volunteers and I LOVE this! 💥❄️⛄️😍💖🥰

We are having so much fun trying all kinds of new patterns for beautiful hats. We love to share a little gift with anyone who is going through cancer treatment and let them know we were thinking of them and they are important to us.

Yesterday we had the privilege of delivering 2 boxes of hats to our local Cancer Center in Anacortes- Merle Cancer Center. We hope these hats keep you and your guests warm this fall.
Thank you to our volunteers for your may hours of time spent making these lovely creations.

We had the pleasure of delivering hats to Merle Cancer Center in Anacortes by request. If anyone knows of a person or center that needs hats for people doing chemo please message us. We would love to make some hats and send them to the person or the place. Thank you to our volunteer knitters/crocheters, we couldn't do this without them

Brrr its cold outside! We just delivered another box of hats to Merle Cancer Center in Anacortes as they were just about out from the last box! Please keep the hats coming volunteers! Thank you so much for your help keeping our friends heads warm

Its a great day to drop off some cozy hats to Merle Cancer Center in Anacortes. They requested more as it is so cold outside they were almost out of hats! Thank you to our volunteers for helping me keep our local cancer centers stocked up with hats.

Just dropping off some hats for the guests at this clinic. We have a special friend getting treatment there and they are taking very good care of her. Thank you so much to all the nurses and staff for doing a wonderful job! And thank you so much to my hat making volunteers who help me deliver a little gift to our friends and help me make this happen. ❤️❤️
