You are invited to join us for a free educational presentation and book signing with Marty Schreiber—former Wisconsin governor, caregiver advocate, and author of My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver. Marty speaks about Alzheimer’s caregiving from deeply personal experience. The love story he shared with his wife, Elaine—whom he met as a high school freshman in the 1950s—took a heartbreaking turn more than 14 years ago when Elaine was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Elaine has since passed away, and Marty now shares their powerful story to honor her memory and to support and educate others navigating the Alzheimer’s caregiving journey. Light refreshments will be provided.
