💪 Muscle Highlight: The Pectorals (aka the pecs)
Feeling tight across your chest, have rounded shoulders, or feeling tension creeping into your neck and upper back? 😬 then your pecs might be pulling more than they should.
Your pec muscles (pectoralis major & minor) sit across the front of your chest. They help you push, lift, hug, reach, and stabilize the shoulders. Often working overtime with desk work, phone use, workouts, and daily life.
🚨 Signs your pecs may be tight or overworked:
• Tightness or heaviness in the chest
• Rounded shoulders or “caved in” posture
• Shoulder pain or limited range of motion
• Neck or upper back tension
• Tingling or discomfort into the arms
• Difficulty standing or sitting tall
When the pecs become shortened, they pull the shoulders forward, throwing off posture and placing extra strain on the neck, upper back, and rotator cuff muscles.
🙌 Targeted massage can help:
• Release deep chest and shoulder tension
• Improve posture and shoulder mobility
• Reduce neck and upper back strain
• Support better breathing mechanics
• Restore balance between the front and back of the body
