As we wrap up Women in Construction Week (March 1-7), Safety Solutions & Supply is proud to spotlight three powerhouse professionals on our team. Women make up only about 11% of the construction workforce, but their impact on safety and leadership is immeasurable. Join us in celebrating these experts:
✨ Teri North – A true pioneer in the industry, Teri was previously named one of the American Society of Safety Engineers' "100 Women Making a Difference in Safety"—an honor marking the organization's 100th anniversary. After a coast-to-coast career spanning from Washington to Georgia, we are honored to have her out of retirement and in the field with us, sharing her lifetime of wisdom through OSHA and MSHA training.
✨ Kelly Godwin – With over a decade of hands-on experience in industrial, power, and mining environments, Kelly is a force in hazard mitigation. Not only does she develop comprehensive health and safety programs, but she is also a certified heavy equipment trainer. Whether she’s behind the controls of a bulldozer or auditing a complex site, Kelly’s 10+ years of expertise keep our clients compliant and their crews protected.
✨ Maureen Kenyon – Bringing a critical emergency medical background to the construction and marine sectors, Maureen is a Florida State EMT and a Shipyard Competent Person. From accident investigation to behavioral-based safety programs, her diverse skillset ensures that safety isn't just a set of rules, but a culture. Her background in race rescue and medical response adds a unique, high-stakes layer of expertise to our consulting team.
Thank you, Teri, Kelly, and Maureen, for your dedication, your leadership, and for paving the way for the next generation of women in safety!
